Prayer for Our New Year

January 3 - 10, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm 2021  |  Northwood Temple Worship Center

4250 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA

Every year, at the beginning of the year, Northwood Temple takes the time to meet together and call out to God on behalf of our nation. The year of 2020 was certainly a time of unprecedented challenges. Even though we count each year as a blessing from the Lord, there are many aspects of 2020 that we would like to leave behind us. The Lord clearly tells us that when His people, called by His name, put aside their ways that oppose His ways, and then seek Him in prayer, He will hear us. He will heal the land. Well, we ARE that people.

During the two weeks we are setting aside to pray and seek Him, we will also humble ourselves by fasting (as our health permits). We generally follow a fast known as the “Daniel Fast,” which is patterned after what the great prophet and leader, Daniel, did as he sought God for his nation.

We will meet during the evening on Sunday night, January 3rd and again on January 10th for a time of corporate prayer. The meetings will be in our main sanctuary, where we will observe the safety precautions of social distancing and face masks. The meetings will last one hour, from 6:00PM-7:00PM. Please make every attempt to join with us as we seek for God to “heal our land.”
