Operation Christmas Child is a project by Samaritan’s Purse that delivers shoeboxes filled with gifts to children in need around the world:

Purpose: To share the Good News of Jesus Christ with children in vulnerable situations and to provide God’s love in a tangible way

Gifts: Shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. Click HERE to download a list of suggestions to help you as you shop. This list also includes what not to put in your shoeboxes.

Recipients: Children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease

Impact: Since 1993, over 220 million shoeboxes have been delivered to children in more than 170 countries and territories

 

How to participate:

  1. You can build a shoebox online at the Samaritan’s Purse site: click HERE.
  2. You can go shopping and build your own shoebox. We will have boxes available at the church. Then you can mail your boxes or drop them back off at the church.
  3. You can make a donation and let us do your shopping for you. For this option, click HERE and be sure to select Samaritan’s Purse from the drop down.
  4. You can participate in Northwood’s Packing Party November 16, from 11am-2pm in the FLC Dining Hall (no need to register).
