Easter Production 2022 – 10 Days Wait
April 14 - 17 2022 | Northwood Temple Church
As the believers who had just witnessed Jesus rise up to heaven made their way back to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, they had to wonder about this “Promise of the Father” He said would come. How could a “Holy Spirit” lead them into all truth? It defied imagination to think anything might be better than actually having the risen Jesus in person among them. Also, how long would they have to wait? Nobody knew. He simply said to stay in Jerusalem and be ready.
After a couple of days of prayer, reviewing the things Jesus had said, and study of the scriptures, one thing became evident: Among them were radically different personalities with conflicting opinions and even resentment toward others. In fact, there might have been some real conflicts. How could these be resolved? Was their lack of unity hindering the very promise they were tarrying for?
This is the story for Easter this year at Northwood Temple. Yes, it’s a fictional story, but human nature hasn’t changed very much since the fall in the Garden. “Ten Days of Waiting” dramatizes what is required to come to a point of unity. After all, Jesus had said there were only two real commandments—love God and love others—two very difficult commandments to always obey. He also prayed to His Father to “make them one.”
Come and see the story of how a group of people did put aside their grievances, forgave each other, and came into one accord—so that the Holy Spirit could descend on the Day of Pentecost.
