Christmas 2022 – Lord of Heaven and Earth
December 9 - 11 2022 | Northwood Temple Church
A heavenly story
Lord of Heaven and Earth
. . . The story of God’s plan for man on the earth.
God was not alone when He made man and placed him in the Garden of Eden. He had already created myriads of celestial beings, known as “sons of God” or elohim. Some were angels, others seraphim, others cherubs, etc., and those of the highest ranking were called morning stars. Together, these comprised the heavenly hosts, the council of the holy ones. When God formed the earth and set its foundations, “the morning stars together and all the sons of God shouted for joy!” (Job 38:7). Eden now became the physical place where heaven and earth collided, for it was here that God chose to dwell in unity with His family, both mortal and supernatural. However, because all His created beings were given free will, rebellion was possible—and inevitable. One of the highest creatures chose to rebel, and likewise set about to tempt the man and woman to do the same.
