An Orphan’s Legacy
June 26, 2022 10:00 - 11:30am | Northwood Temple Church
One man saw a humanitarian crisis—and was inspired to do something to fix it!!!
Americans are proud of their nation being a melting pot for people from everywhere. Often in our history, however, the influx of so many has brought tremendous problems—including orphaned and abandoned children. During one such humanitarian crisis in the 1800’s, a young man saw a solution–and then spent his life making it work. No, his efforts were perfect, but at least he did something. Today—there are many such crises. What are we doing to solve the overwhelming problems of today–child trafficking, abortion, broken families, school shootings, youth suicides, absentee fathers? In our story, we show how one boy was rescued from an orphanage—and created a legacy that lasts even to today.
Following the presentation there will be a FREE picnic lunch with plenty of food and fun!
