When Your Impossible Walls Fall (Joshua #9)
Walls! Sometimes they protect us from an enemy outside. But sometimes they prevent us from having what God has promised. It is this last case that we will look at today in our story of the Children of Israel as they are finally leaving the desert behind and moving into their promised land. Wouldn’t you know it though – the people that lived there didn’t care that God had given the Israelites their land. They weren’t giving it up and what’s more, they had some really big, strong walls to help them. It is no different for us today. We encounter any number of things to prevent our experiencing what God has promised, but if we keep the faith and follow His leading, our walls will fall just like theirs did.
