It doesn’t take much study of the Bible before we put ourselves into the stories we’re reading and become one of the characters. We ask ourselves what it would have been like to live during those times, in the places mentioned, encountering the challenges the people were faced with then. Aside from the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus, there can be hardly any more exciting chapter in the New Testament than the 2nd Chapter of Acts. It is the spiritual heritage of the Church and it gives us a picture of why the Church was flooded with new followers. Sometimes “new” doesn’t have as much to offer tried and true.
