Children’s Ministries

Nursery

Nursery is held in the Main Sanctuary building. We believe that babies are created in God’s image and that He has a special plan for each of them. Even our littlest ones can learn and sense God’s love. Each nursery room provides age appropriate play and activities.

Please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name.

Checking On Your Child
Feel free to check on your little one at any time during the worship service. However, we ask that you do so discreetly, trying not to let your child see you.

Your Child’s Health
We operate a well-baby program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for helping us keep our nursery program a healthy place for all.

Preschool Church

Building a child’s spiritual life starts at a very early age. The beginning stages of spiritual development are learning blocks that can help children discover early how much God loves them. Our Little People’s Church guides preschoolers in a safe, creative way that instills biblical concepts through age-specific learning.

Little People’s Church is held in the Middle Sanctuary Building on Sundays, during the 10:50 a.m. Worship Service. All preschoolers must be potty-trained.

3-Yr.-Olds....Room 313

4-Yr.-Olds.....Room 312

5-Yr.-Olds & Kindergarten.....Room 314

When You Arrive At Your Child’s Room
A leader will meet you at the check-in area to receive your child and any other necessary items. Please check in and note any information that will help us in caring for your child such as food allergies and special needs.

During check-in, you will receive a numbered card which will correspond with the number on your child’s nametag. This card must be presented at the time of pick-up. A child will not be released without presentation of the parents’ corresponding card. Please remember to provide us with a cell phone number that you have with you so that in the event that we need to contact you during service we will be able to call you.

Snacks
Snacks are provided for the children. The food items consist of juice, crackers or cookies. If your child has an allergy, please inform the leader when you check in your child

Curriculum
We believe even our littlest ones can learn! Regular learning experiences are planned and lessons are reinforced with songs, play and supervised activities designed with the ability of the children in mind. Our preschool classes will visit the playground, weather permitting, on a rotational basis. Please send a jacket or sweater with your child during cooler weather.

Saying Good-bye
After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick good-bye and leave for the worship service. As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when leaving a parent. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will immediately try to create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return after the worship service is completed.

Pick-up Procedures
Your child’s leader will expect the same person to drop off and pick up each child unless special instructions are given at check-in. Please make sure that all your child’s personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises.

Kids’ Church

Kids’ Church is held for 1st - 6th graders in the Small Chapel on Sundays, during the 10:50 a.m. Worship Service.

Kids’ Church is a place where kids can have a great big life with a great big God. A place where faith, imagination, and learning go hand in hand. Every week will be a new fun and creative experience designed just for kids as they grow in their walk with God.

Check-In Process
When entering the Small Chapel, the children are given a name tag for personal identification. First-time visitors are asked to complete a registration form.

Worship Service
Kids’ Church is a service designed especially for 1st ~ 6th graders. At 10:45 AM, leaders help kids experience God in a large group setting through upbeat music, hands on ministry, prayer emphasis, and a time of interactive video that teaches God’s Word, and small group time to build healthy relationships with other kids and adults. Each student will take home the weekly lesson, which lists three ways to live out what they learned. If a student completes the lesson during the week and brings it back the following weekend they will receive a prize. Most of our lessons are developed for a six to eight week series time and teach biblical truths about character, values and the church.

Check-Out Process
Children will remain in the Small Chapel until their parent or guardian returns to get them. Children may not leave the chapel to meet their parents unless leaders are notified ahead of time.
